The « plant of Radès II », is a « combined
cycle » power plant, which supplies (in 2005) 23%
of the national electricity production. It has two gas turbines
of 115MW each, and a recuperation system. This process feeds
steam into a turbo-alternator of 250 MW. This mode of production
is more efficient and more innovative.
The plant functions on natural gas, which constitutes a clean source
of energy and is in line with CPC’s environmental policy.
