Carthage Power Company (CPC), a Tunisian entity, is a first private power producer of electricity in Tunisia. It is a pioneer in this area and as such, has set the grounds for future privatizations in Tunisia and the MENA. A country, that wants to be present on the international scene, must create a competitive economic environment, both robust and flexible to prepare the marketthe international challenges. The advent of CPC in Tunisia is a proof that a well-managed privatization can be beneficial for the country in terms of competitiveness, technical progress and innovation.
